CV

Stan Ward is a lecturer in the American Studies Department at ELTE. Stan received a B.A. in English Studies from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and his M.A. in Applied Linguistics from The University of Southern Queensland, Australia. Mr. Ward specializes in American culture and media, politics, as well as English language proficiency. Before this, Stan also lived in Japan for eight years and taught at Meiji Gakuin University and Temple University Japan, teaching language proficiency and American culture.

His interests include languages (Russian, Hungarian, and Japanese), intercultural communication, and the explosion of social media and human behavior.

Besides teaching, Stan has worked as a business and political communications consultant.
